The name of this website is San Francisco Cityscape, sure. But before we were San Francisco Cityscape, we lived in a place called Denver, Colorado. When Californians think of Denver, they probably think of mountains and not much else. They probably don't realize that in less than a decade, Metro Denver will claim a rail transit network half-again bigger than BART. It won't be a subway, but it will have cost just $50 million per mile to build (compare that to $225 million a mile or more for San Jose BART, or $700 million a mile for Muni's Central Subway). In the map below, we've used the familiar forms of the classic London Tube map to try to help introduce the FasTracks project to those who've never heard of it. And if you happen to be from Colorado? Enjoy.
